Kochi → Munnar

Meet and greet from Kochi Head to Munnar via Athirapally Waterfalls

After landing in Kochi, meet our representative at the airport or railway station. Start your drive to Athirapally Waterfalls, which is approximately 70 km from Kochi and takes around 1.5–2 hours by road.

 

Athirapally sightseeing:

  • Athirapally Waterfalls – Known as the “Niagara of Kerala,” spend about 1–1.5 hours enjoying the top and bottom viewpoints. Entry fee: INR 40/adult, INR 10/child, INR 150/foreigner.
  • Thumboormuzhi Hanging Bridge – Pedestrian bridge over the Chalakudy River. Entry fee: INR 40/adult, INR 10/child.
  • Charpa Waterfalls – Small cascading falls ideal for photography.
  • Vazhachal Falls – Scenic waterfall surrounded by lush greenery.

 

After sightseeing, continue your journey to Munnar, which is approximately 130 km from Athirapally and takes around 4 hours by road.

 

Munnar sightseeing (on arrival or en route):

  • Valara Waterfalls – Cascading falls surrounded by dense forests.
  • Cheyyappara Waterfalls – Seven-step waterfall offering great photo opportunities.

 

Check in at your hotel in Munnar. The rest of the day is free for leisure – stroll through local markets or relax and enjoy the beauty of the hill station.

After breakfast at the hotel, head out for sightseeing in and around Munnar. Complete any remaining sights from the previous day before starting new activities.

  • Eravikulam National Park – Famous for Nilgiri Tahr and scenic landscapes, ideal for photography.
  • Spice Garden – Explore local spices and plantations.
  • Rajamalai (Eravikulam Hills) – Panoramic views and trekking opportunities.

 

Return to the hotel in the evening for overnight stay.

Munnar → Thekkady

Head to Thekkady and Enjoy the Sights in Thekkady

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Munnar. Complete any remaining sightseeing if not already done. Depart for Thekkady. Munnar is approximately 90 km away from Thekkady, and it would take around 3–4 hours by road.

 

En route, visit the following attractions (optional stops depending on time):

  • Spice plantations – Explore Kerala’s aromatic spice gardens and learn about cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, and more.

 

Upon arrival in Thekkady, check in to your hotel and rest briefly. Later, enjoy the following sightseeing and activities in Thekkady:

Thekkady → Varkala

Beaches Calling, Head to Verkala - Jatayu on the way

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Thekkady. Complete any remaining sightseeing in Thekkady before beginning your journey. Jatayu Earth Center is approximately 180 km away from Thekkady, and it would take around 4–5 hours by road, so an early start is recommended.

 

Sightseeing at Jatayu Earth Center:

  • World’s Largest Bird Sculpture – A massive statue of Jatayu from the Ramayana, perched on a hilltop
  • Rock Cut Cave Temples – Small shrines and meditation spots near the sculpture
  • Adventure Activities (optional) – Zip-lining, rock climbing, and cable car rides (additional cost)
  • Nature Walks & Viewpoints – Panoramic views of the Western Ghats and surrounding valleys

 

After exploring Jatayu Earth Center, proceed to Varkala. Varkala is approximately 30 km away from Jatayu Earth Center, and it would take around 1–1.5 hours by road, so plan your travel accordingly.

 

Upon reaching Varkala, check in to your hotel.

  • Varkala Cliff & Beach – Famous cliffside with stunning views of the Arabian Sea
  • Papanasam Beach – Holy beach known for its sacred waters and scenic sunset views
  • Janardhana Swamy Temple – Ancient Vishnu temple situated near the cliff

Varkala → Alleppey

Head to Alleppey& enjoy houseboat

Starts @ alleppey After breakfast proceed to Alleppey. 120kms from Varkala Alappuzha is the Venice of the East; It is famous for its boat races, backwater holidays, beaches, marine products and coir industry. Alappuzha beach is a popular picnic spot. The pier, which extends into the sea here, is over 137 years old. Entertainment facilities at the Vijaya Beach Park add to the attraction of the beach. There is also an old lighthouse nearby which is greatly fascinating to visitors. Evening leisure at backwater resort. Overnight stay at Alleppey. Few Important Pointers: A. From 05.30 pm to 08.00 am next day - Boat will Anchored & it will be idle in the lake. (As per GOVT. Rule- Village people need to put nets in the lake for fishing). B. Deluxe Houseboat: AC Operational Timings are 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM In Bedroom Only. C. Premium Houseboat: AC Runs 24*7. However at a given point in time, only One AC is operational (At Either Deck or Bedroom). D. AC runs on a diesel engine, so it takes 30 mins - 1 hour to cool the room.

After the round of magnificent mangrove laden lake, boat would drop you around 9:00, we will route you to Fort Kochin. Enjoy the various sites in the fort Kochi. Fort Kochi is steeped in the history and culture of all who have occupied it through the ages. Its roots and essence are unique in its diversity.
