A short trip from Trivandrum to Kovalam offers a scenic and relaxing coastal experience. Just 16 km apart, the journey takes about 30–40 minutes by car or auto-rickshaw. Starting in the bustling city of Trivandrum, visitors can explore cultural landmarks like the Padmanabhaswamy Temple before heading to the serene beaches of Kovalam. Kovalam is famous for its crescent-shaped coastline, lighthouse beach, calm waters, and vibrant seaside cafes. Ideal for sunbathing, swimming, and Ayurvedic massages, it’s a perfect day escape or weekend retreat. The blend of local culture, seafood, and natural beauty makes this short trip refreshing and memorable.

We would head to Alleppey from Kovlam after breakfast at around 9:00 AM. On the way, we would visit Sathram View Point. It would take you around 4 hours to reach to Alleppey. Check Into the hotel and relax a bit. Later in the day, you can visit Alappuzha Beach, Marari Beach, and Ambalappuzha Sri Krishna Temple.

After breakfast in the hotel, prepare yourself for the next journey towards Thekkady. Upon your arrival in Thekkady, check in to the hotel and freshen up. Depart for a sightseeing tour of Thekkady. Do a boat ride on the Periyar Lake through the Periyar Tiger Reserve and have a chance to see the big cat Later on, you may go for an Elephant ride, Jeep safari through the jungle (All the activities at your own cost). In the evening visit to spice garden or take a stroll at the local markets in Thekkady and enjoy the local cuisines.

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Thekkady. Before departure, complete any remaining sightseeing you may have missed.

 

Start your drive to Munnar, which is approximately 110 km away and takes around 4–5 hours by road.

 

En route, you can visit the following authentic attractions:

• Cheeyappara Waterfalls – A seven-tiered waterfall surrounded by lush greenery
• Valara Waterfalls – Scenic cascade ideal for photography
• Tea Plantations near Munnar – Stop briefly to admire the rolling hills and lush estates

 

Upon arrival in Munnar, check in to your hotel and relax. The rest of the day is free for leisure — you may stroll through the local markets or enjoy the hotel facilities.

After breakfast at the hotel, head out for sightseeing in and around Munnar. Complete any remaining sights from the previous day before starting new activities.

 

Munnar Extended Sightseeing:

• Eravikulam National Park – Famous for Nilgiri Tahr and scenic landscapes, ideal for photography.
• Spice Garden – Explore local spices and plantations.
• Rajamalai (Eravikulam Hills) – Panoramic views and trekking opportunities.

 

Return to the hotel in the evening for overnight stay.

Check out from your hotel in Munnar. Complete any remaining sightseeing before departure. Munnar is approximately 130 km away from Kochi Airport, and it would take around 4 hours by road.
