Head to Munnar from after checking out from Kochi

Head to Thekkady and Enjoy the Sights in Thekkady

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Munnar. Complete any remaining sightseeing if not already done. Depart for Thekkady. Munnar is approximately 90 km away from Thekkady, and it would take around 3–4 hours by road.

Thekkady → Varkala

Beaches Calling, Head to Verkala - Jatayu on the way

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Thekkady. Complete any remaining sightseeing in Thekkady before beginning your journey. Jatayu Earth Center is approximately 180 km away from Thekkady, and it would take around 4–5 hours by road, so an early start is recommended.

 

Sightseeing at Jatayu Earth Center:

  • World’s Largest Bird Sculpture – A massive statue of Jatayu from the Ramayana, perched on a hilltop
  • Rock Cut Cave Temples – Small shrines and meditation spots near the sculpture

Head to Alleppey& enjoy houseboat

Starts @ alleppey After breakfast proceed to Alleppey. 120kms from Varkala Alappuzha is the Venice of the East; It is famous for its boat races, backwater holidays, beaches, marine products and coir industry. Alappuzha beach is a popular picnic spot. The pier, which extends into the sea here, is over 137 years old. Entertainment facilities at the Vijaya Beach Park add to the attraction of the beach. There is also an old lighthouse nearby which is greatly fascinating to visitors. Evening leisure at backwater resort. Overnight stay at Alleppey. Few Important Pointers: A. From 05.30 pm to 08.00 am next day - Boat will Anchored & it will be idle in the lake. (As per GOVT. Rule- Village people need to put nets in the lake for fishing). B. Deluxe Houseboat: AC Operational Timings are 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM In Bedroom Only. C. Premium Houseboat: AC Runs 24*7. However at a given point in time, only One AC is operational (At Either Deck or Bedroom). D. AC runs on a diesel engine, so it takes 30 mins - 1 hour to cool the room.
