Meet and greet from Kochi Head to Munnar via Athirapally Waterfalls
After landing in Kochi, meet our representative at the airport or railway station. Start your drive to Athirapally Waterfalls, which is approximately 70 km from Kochi and takes around 1.5–2 hours by road.
Athirapally sightseeing:
- Athirapally Waterfalls – Known as the “Niagara of Kerala,” spend about 1–1.5 hours enjoying the top and bottom viewpoints. Entry fee: INR 40/adult, INR 10/child, INR 150/foreigner.
- Thumboormuzhi Hanging Bridge – Pedestrian bridge over the Chalakudy River. Entry fee: INR 40/adult, INR 10/child.
- Charpa Waterfalls – Small cascading falls ideal for photography.
- Vazhachal Falls – Scenic waterfall surrounded by lush greenery.
After sightseeing, continue your journey to Munnar, which is approximately 130 km from Athirapally and takes around 4 hours by road.
Munnar sightseeing (on arrival or en route):
- Valara Waterfalls – Cascading falls surrounded by dense forests.
- Cheyyappara Waterfalls – Seven-step waterfall offering great photo opportunities.
Check in at your hotel in Munnar. The rest of the day is free for leisure – stroll through local markets or relax and enjoy the beauty of the hill station.

After breakfast at the hotel, head out for sightseeing in and around Munnar. Complete any remaining sights from the previous day before starting new activities.
Munnar Extended Sightseeing:
- Eravikulam National Park – Famous for Nilgiri Tahr and scenic landscapes, ideal for photography.
- Spice Garden – Explore local spices and plantations.
- Rajamalai (Eravikulam Hills) – Panoramic views and trekking opportunities.
Return to the hotel in the evening for overnight stay.

Munnar to Kumarakom | Day trip to Houseboat
After breakfast, complete the remaining sightseeing in Munnar before checking out from the hotel. Later head towards Kumarakom for a day trip.
Kumarakom is approximately 150 km from Munnar, and it would take around 5 hours by road to reach. The route offers scenic views of tea gardens slowly giving way to lush backwaters and coconut groves.
Upon arrival in Kumarakom, board a day houseboat to enjoy a serene cruise through Kerala’s backwaters — one of the most unique experiences in the region.
During your houseboat day cruise (At Additional Cost), you’ll experience:
- Cruising through narrow canals surrounded by coconut palms.
- Views of lush green paddy fields and village life.
- Traditional Kerala meals prepared fresh on board by the chef.
- Stopovers at scenic points and small islands.
Important Points to Remember:
- Day cruises usually operate from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Lunch and evening tea/snacks are served onboard.
- AC in the houseboat runs during the afternoon as per the package type.
- Guests can take short breaks for photography or village walks (based on route and time).
After completing the backwater cruise, disembark from the houseboat and return to Munnar (or proceed to the next destination as per your plan).
