Pickup Kochi Alleppey - Kumarakom - Kovalam - Local - Flyback frm Trivendrum

After pick up from Kochi Airport, we shall drive to Alleppey. The distance from Kochi to Alleppey is approximately 60 km, and it takes around 3 hours by road. You should reach Alleppey by 12:00 PM. Check in at the hotel and relax for a while.

 

Post lunch, at around 3:00 PM, visit the following attractions in Alleppey:

• Ambalappuzha Sri Krishna Temple – A historic temple famous for its traditional rituals and sweet “palpayasam” offering. (No entry fee)
• Alappuzha Beach – Enjoy the serene beach, lighthouse view, and sunset. (No entry fee)
• Marari Beach – A peaceful beach known for its coconut palms and calm waves. (No entry fee)
• Alleppey Backwaters – Optional short cruise along the village canals (if hotel offers).
• Local Market Visit – Explore Alleppey town markets for handicrafts, coir products, and souvenirs.

 

The evening is free for leisure or hotel relaxation.

After breakfast we shall move to Kumarakom at 9 AM. It is around 1-hour journey. Visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary (INR 500/- for couple) with a guide (Charges not included; I will update you.). At 2PM, we would check in to our premium private houseboat booked only for you. Lunch, Snacks, Dinner would be served on the houseboat. At around 5:00 PM houseboat would take you on a tour where you would enjoy the town area while on board.

In the morning around 8:00 AM, breakfast would be served on board. Around at the same time, the boat would take you to another tour of town and sea perching through various canal in the region. Around 9:00-9:30 AM, houseboat would leave you at the dropping point. Driver shall pick you up, and we would head to Kovalam. It is a long journey which would take around 5/6 hours to reach to Kovalam. Post arrival, check in to the hotel, and rest for the day. You can even enjoy the beach at your own.

After breakfast at 9:00 AM, we would start the city tour of Thiruvanthpuram. Important attractions are the followings: Padmanabhaswamy Temple: hindus are allowed in the premise with a special dress code. Kuthiramalika Palace: Entry Fees – INR 40 (Timings: 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM & 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM and closed on Monday) Napier Museum (Timings: 10 AM - 5:00 PM and closed on Monday) Sri Chitra Art Gallery INR 400/- entry fees (Timings: 10:00 AM. to 5:00 PM and Monday Holiday) Attukal Bhagavathy Temple – Free and open all day.

We will cover the Thiruvanthpuram sights including padmanabhaswamy temple If not covered yesterday and time allows. Today is the time to leave the places. We are sure that you have collected millions of sparkling memories of mountains, beaches and hills. It would be possible to board from either of Trivendram, Alleppey, Ernakulam or Kochi.
